You ride independently on quiet roads at an easy-to-moderate pace. The route connects Sant’Antioco and Carloforte with the inland area of Sulcis and the beaches along the south coast. The program includes 4 nights in comfortable hotels, daily maps and GPS tracks, and luggage transfers between accommodations. Along the way, you experience local cuisine, the historic tuna-fishing town, Carignano wine, and long white sand beaches. The climate is mild, with constant views over the sea and open countryside.

A Self-Guided Bike Tour is a type of cycling adventure where you have the freedom to plan and navigate at your pace. Our dedicated tour guide and support team will handle hotel bookings, logistics, and baggage transport, ensuring you enjoy a hassle-free and carefree experience.
Relax
Stages up to 50 km per day with a maximum of 600 meters of climbing. They are conceived for guests that ride their bikes twice per week on roads without major climbs. Usually, you are back at the hotel in the early afternoon.
For guests that want more riding, we can add extra loops to regular stages.

In and Out: Cagliari (Google Map)
The tour starts in Sant’Antioco, where you check into your hotel and settle in for the following days. Here, you will meet our local representative, who will explain the program and help you adjust the bike. If you’ve selected the transfer, pickup is at Cagliari Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Sant’Antioco with coastal views.
The first ride is an easy loop by the sea, ideal to get comfortable on the bike. The pace is relaxed, with time to enjoy the coastal scenery. The day ends with an aperitif by the water, a simple moment to taste local products while the sun sets over the sea.

In the morning, a short ferry ride of about 30 minutes brings you to Carloforte.
Carloforte is a small Mediterranean gem shaped by Ligurian, North African, and Sardinian influences. The day is spent riding past salt pans, quiet beaches, and through the bright, lively town known for its red tuna tradition. In the afternoon, the ferry returns to Calasetta.
Those who wish can continue cycling around Sant’Antioco, following the coastline to reach small, hidden coves and the main town, where fishing culture remains part of everyday life.

The route leaves Sant’Antioco island, crossing salt pans often visited by pink flamingos. After a stop in Tratalias Vecchia, a small village built around the Romanesque Cathedral of Santa Maria, the ride continues through the Sulcis countryside, with artichoke fields and Carignano vineyards along the way.
The stage ends near Teulada, where accommodation is in a countryside agriturismo. Here, there is time to relax and enjoy a traditional Sardinian dinner.

The last part of the route starts with a coastal ride near Capo Teulada, an easy introduction before reaching the highlight of the tour: the Costa del Sud. The road follows the shoreline with a series of climbs and descents that require some effort but reward you with expansive sea views.
The ride ends in Pula, a lively town and the right place to enjoy a final dinner and celebrate the end of the trip.
